Ya, it is www.blogger.com and it is a place where you make your own like space where you can add friends and stuff. youll have to check it out to see.

Blogger is a free service of Google, with it you can make your personal homepage, and there you post your news, about anything you want. People can become member of your blog and leave comments on your articles.

A blog is great when you wanna let the others know what are you interest and how things are going with you.
Many people also use Blogs as a normal website, with some implementations, it can work pretty good for downloads, video sharing, image uploading, etc.

The thing i like about blogs is that almost every one has a good layout and design that gives it a professional look, and many are already using web 2.0 graphics that makes them look fancy

You gotta try it, its FREE and it gives you the chance of experiment with the basics of web mastering, and maybe your blog can become a popular one

There are many word publishing platforms out there and Blogger is just one of the most popular ones out there. There are others such as Livejournal, diaryland, wordpress, textpattern ... etc, I leave it up to you to decide which type of platform you choose. For me, I think WordPress is the best, and that is the main reason why I am using it. WordPress is so customizable, you can easily change themes, a lot of people are creating them on a daily basis, and on top of that there are plugins (Sides to enhance your blog). Some examples of a plugin are Users Online, Poll, Recent Comments, Stats tracking ... etc, there are lots more which I have not mentioned, it is again up to you to decide which one you want to use.

On top of all these, WordPress can be installed on your server, instead of in their host server. In other words, if Blogger goes down, your blog does too. With Blogger, as far as I know, there isn't much support to include plugins like WordPress. Despite this, Blogger is definitely more popular because of its easy to use interface as compared to WordPress. In the past, WordPress wasn't free, but now it is: you can get an account with wordpress.com or you can install it on your server by going to wordpress.org. However a lot of people are moving from blogger to WordPress and it is just a matter of time before WordPress becomes more popular than Blogger.

With regards to creating a blog, you have to know the purpose with which you are creating it. Is it for personal? Is it for any specific topic or interest? For me, my blog is a place where I write down my thoughts, occasionally, I talk about the latest technologies, news, information on my favourite artistes and a weekly report of a match regarding my favourite team; S.S. Lazio. So you can never run out of things to blog about. And it doesn't need to be very interactive, a fine example would be mine. I get 30+ hits everyday with at least 15 unique visitors but I don't get much comments. That is demoralizing for me but it is alright, they are silent readers and I will keep it at that. Have a go at blogging, it is a very interesting experience.

Blogger is the best!

The only thing I can reccomend about blogger is the fact that if you use it it dosen't take much work to be listed with Google, which helps with promotion.

I use blog.com because they let me edit the templates they have, and it's not as difficult as it soulds.

For me blogger is Good in the various features it provides like there you could have flash files and many other customizable sidebars.But its worst thing is that as a beginner which I found is that its difficult to feel comfortabl at the dashboard

But if you are a beginner then mine advice to make a blog would be at wordpress.com .You may not find feature like that given blogger say ou can't add flah files...but navigating through the dashboard of wordpress is lot simpler than at blogger.So have a first try at wordpress.com
