How To Get Your Website Known On Google

Does anyone know how i can get my website know on google so it ends up on the search engines if you type my website addy in.. (www.freestyle.trap17.com)

Ok, here's some tips to do that:

- First register in google your website link:
http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

- Then register in the best topsites related to your website, but also in other good topsites that have all kinds of different subjects
(Start with the link exchange of our friend trap17.com network, here's the link: http://www.trap17.com/le/
they are still growing, they don't have much categorys which does not help, but it is a start, plus trap17.com
website has a very high rank in google, yahoo, msn and askjeeves.com, especially in google search engine.)

- Register in websites that have link exchange scripts, cause you'll win tons of traffic, but remember,
just register in topsites that have a high google page rank, i mean, topsites that show up in the top google results.

- Exchange links with good sites already indexed by google, and preferably with websites of the same subject of your website, and also preferably with websites that show up in first 2 pages of google results, has well has the topsites mentioned in the above tip.

- Get the program "web ceo" (free and the best, here http://webceo.com) , to organize and optimize your websites metatags, to submit your sites to 1000's of search engines, and much more, you'll have to download, install and try the awesome and very useful tools that web ceo has, i have been using it for some years now, it is free and much better then the ones you have to pay, like for instance, web position pro 4 or internet business promoter.

- There are tons of keywords tips and tricks to tune up your website rank, you'll have to read a good ebook about search engine optimization and promotion, well, i am reading this ones:

. Search Engine Optimization For Dummies 2006 (I have also read the 2004 and 2005 editions of this ebook, it's the best i know)
. The UnFair Advantage Book on Winning The Search Engine Wars
. And much more ebooks, articles and tutorials i read all the time

- There are good forums dedicated to search engine optimization

- If you really want to get your website in the top google reasults, buy a top level domain (.com or .net or .org), because with a subdomain you won't get far, beleave me, even if you have tons of links to your website, search engines almost always only show up .com websites on the first 2/3 pages of search results.

- The most important thing for a website to be highly ranked in google is to have tons of websites with active links to your website and to different pages of your websites, and those websites got to be already indexed by google and also have a very good google page rank, don't exchange links with websites that are not indexed by google, just with websites that appear on the top google results for keywords of your website subject/theme, or else the links won't have an effect.

- The metatags are important, very important, so you need a very good program to build/edit/organize/manage the metatags for your websites

- 2 of the most important seo tips you must know is how to use and work with the keywords and keyphrases, i mean, imagine if your websites was about free templates, then you will have to insert keyworks and keyphrases, using the keywords "free templates" not only on the metatags of all the pages of your websites, but also you must use those keywords and keyphrases (the ones you used in the metatags of each page of your website) in text on each page, and preferably, in the begining of each page, preferably with titles on each page, with the <h1> to <h6> tags (better use <h1> or <h2> or <h3>).

- Still, related the the last seo tip, you must give extreme importance to keyword density and keyword popularity, because keywords can put a website on the top results, even the first result, as long as you are using keywords wisely, not as a spammer, not just to put a website on the top results just for a few days, no, that does not work, you have to work things to ensure your website is ranked high forever, because google and other search engines are not sleeping, they always find keyword spammers, that is a fact.




- The most important tip, the most important thing to google show your website on the top results is to have a website with this precious and priceless "things":


. High quality information, preferably free, but if you must sell it, you have to be sure you are going to have clients;

. High quality products, for instance, very usefull programs, tools, scripts, templates, ebooks, and like the last point, preferably free, or else, if you must sell your products, you must be sure you are going to have clients;

. High quality information, and, high quality products, all in the same website, if you have this, and it is an original information and/or products, you will have your website on the first results of google, i'll bet you!

hey there! You can go to your cpanel and then open Search Engine Submit under preinstalled scripts. You will be then asked to choose which engines to submit to. I did the same thing and now when I google or yahoo my name, my website comes out first or second in rank. It took a few weeks though before my site appeared in the search results.

You can also add meta tags like these to increase your site's googlability further.

I will ditto that, This might help my site majorly, oh I have heard that link farms can get you baned from google, is this true? please tell me if it is, I would realy hate to be Banned.

Link farms won't get you banned but you have to weigh up the effort that goes into getting listed with them.
As I've posted in the other thread, a single link from a popular (quality) site in your topic area will be of more benefit to your site than dozens or hundreds of links from sites that typically are viewed by search engines as being of low quality (ie link farms).

Ok, but can links on forums get you up in the search engine if you have a link in your sig?

and agin, can having links with peoples sites that are not related to your own help?

Links from sites on unrelated topics can help, but links from sites on related topics are better.
As for links in sigs, a lot of forums are set up to block SEs from following the links (they're trying to keep the SEs on their site rather than providing lots of doorways for them to leave), but yes, they can help.
