Congratulations, I could never see my self smoking, I dont have the money to start smoking tongue.gif

To be honest I cant see why so many people do smoke, I know its an addiction but really all its is doing for you is slowly killing you but quickly taking money out of your wallet.

Last week I was on holiday in Turkey (hence the quad biking avatar of me) and I was talking to a waiter in a restaurant and he was having a smoke, I didnt mind but I thought to ask him how much he pays for a pack of 20 and he told me its something like £1.50 over there, I was stunned to here that as we pay something like £5 or something stupid like that in the UK.

How do people over here even afford to keep smoking at the rate they do?

Chris.

It is very difficult indeed.

Many years ago, I managed to give up for a fortnight.
But, guess what happened?
Everyone around me insisted at the end of that fortnight:
"Whatever you do, before you do it, please go to a shop or a pub first, get yourself a packet of cigarettes and light one, because YOU ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO LIVE WITH!!!!!!!".
And honestly, I was moody, argued over nothing, bit peoples' heads off as soon as they said something, that was hell really.

Then, six years ago, I decided to give it another go using nicotine patches.
Ironically, I quit and the same night I am in an ambulance having a heart attack.
I then stuck it out for a whole five months, but due to stress and worries and too much work pressure, I started again (And, believe me, that is NOT a cheap excuse).
Then, a few years later, I used nicotine lozenges, and managed to quit for another few months.
Due to the same reason, too much work etc., I started again.
Believe me, it is VERY difficult.
i have evn known someone who had been clean for 10 years, and never in all those years lost the urge to smoke for a single day.
One day I will definitely try again.

Quitting smoking is no big deal. I've quit many times. I just enjoy having a smoke once in a while, so I do.

[Congratulation].
What have you done is very difficult. It was told that Smoker can never avoid smoke. May be you can avoid for 6 month or 1 year but one day you fire a smoke and enjoy till end of its white part. so keep trying hope you will success one day

well congrats to all those who are out of this mess.
i think there are two kind of people who smokes ar start smoking one of these you can find in pubs and cofee outlets whosmokes just for fun and show off the other ones you can find in proffessional places like institutional hostels (in their rooms) it gives them inner strength , i know my freind i jia sari prepairing for ias 2008 who cannot study without a smoke , i have talked to him many times about this he says 'it gives him more concentration '. i feel those who start by looking others can also stop through the same manner , but those who start by themselves has to really fight against their will . i belong to the latter group of people .
enjoy /.
