If you don't know yet! and if you're using Microsoft Windows XP and not the SP2
then you should continue reading!

I'll make it straight, The story is: your computer is vulnerable
to JPG files, it means a code could be run on your machine
when you see a JPG from H.D.D. and then ...

Go update your windows NOW!!!

I dont use IE, outlook or office, so I think i am on the safe side. But I will install the patch anyways.

I heard about this before. It's kinda funny, though. I thought that of all files, that .jpg files couldn't be corrupted like that. I guess so. I'm glad that I really only go on a few personal sites where the webmistresses are friendly non-hacker types. I think that the patch might have installed itself in my recent updates, but if it didn't I'll install it anyhow. I kinda would need to. I make anime layouts for a hobby.

I have subscribed to security-focus. It seems, from the alerts that I got from there, the bug is just a crash bug, but may not be severe enough to execute codes. There is a similar bug in Linux with PNG files as well...
