Name: QUOTE ReGet Deluxe Official Site: QUOTE Freeware: QUOTE ReGet Junior (very limited!) Info: QUOTE # Stream protocols (MMS, RTSP) support. # FTP compression (MODE Z) support. the powerful download manager. Aimed at advanced and professional users it comes with extra features (advanced scheduler, site manager, downloads history), extra capabilties, extra settings to satisfy the everyday needs of power internet users and heavy downloaders. Tell me what this application cannot do!!! |

QUOTE (BoSZ @ Oct 7 2004, 05:30 PM) u ment the 2nd best to flashget Of course!!! But if you want more features you shall try Reget Deluxe for example: - schedule your PC to shutdown/hibernate/standby/restart!/hangup whenever you want (@ the specified time, when downloads is comlete , when nothing is received in specified minutes) and too many other schedules!!! - more than 10 connection for each file (up to 10000 !!!) - search for files on the Internet using 5 search engines - ... I think it is good to try it But there's a lack of Site Explorer in this application, so FlashGet still RULES!!! |

Why are you going for paid download managers like flashget, getright etc. I tried many but found metaproducts Download Express best. Best of all it's free and light weight just about 500 KB and performance NO ASK Please visit www.metaproducts.com and you will find more good products they are not free but good enough for purchase. I've been using FlashGet for years and never had the urge to use anything else.

So which one is the best? all the ones I tried were terrible, some sped up my conecction, and the downloading prosses was pretty fast, some didn't support always resume, like DAP if the server doesn't resume, DAP does resume it, but for the feautere you have to pay an extra 30 bucks! I'd like to know of some other download manager that does that .........

Really? was it free? do you think if I get an older version it'd have it enabled for free? Well I'm going to try to find an old version, I hope it works, because that's the coolest feature ever. Cristian |

I have been using flashget for a couple of years, and it's perfect. I also tried Net Transport for MMS and RTSP streaming media data downloading. It's freeware before v.1.87. Now new version of Flashget(>1.6) supports MMS and RTSP protocol too.
