Good Way To Get More People.

Hey, i'v been making site for about 2 years now but I never found a sure fire way to advertise and gain more people to my site. Help would be nice .

For free... I dont know...

But you can publish your banner on browser-based games. And I think you can make that free with a banner exchange program.
If your site's subject is interesting, people will click the banner. I know I do ;)

Best advertising is mouth-to-mouth... :)
Maybe you can put a "share with a friend" or "send this to a friend" system to encourga people to tell your site their friends...

A great site takes a lot of time. I have put my sites on a lot of "top ten site" things, but it doesn't seem to work too well. Try to find a way to get yourself high up on the ranking in google and msn. And yes, friends and family seem to help to.

4 - take/give banner exchange
5 - make news for website and post hot news about your job ( like design , like sport , ....)
6 - make invite system for your site ( like gmail)
7 - tell users to invite 10 friends
8 - make sig in forums with your site address
9 - make send to friends system for your site to your visitors send your page to another
10 - after that you must active in your site ( forum , news , .....)

also too. joining other sites such as yours and making yourself known and liked is a good way too. trust me people in time will follow you.

Original content is key. That doesn't mean something obscure, but maybe taking a different approach to something. Point out things people might not know, that will help draw people. I try and do that, and I am getting 40+ new users a day. I have only had my site going for less than a month. Then just keep going from there. Once you find something that works, stick with it. Another great way to tell what is working is Awstats, available through cPanel. It shows you unique visitors, page views, visits, hits, and more. You can also see where they are coming from. I use it a lot to gain valuable information on where to keep advertising.

If you are willing to pay, AdWords is a great option too.

Well if your only problem it's getting people to visit your site for the first time than your lucky. The harder thing is that after they see the site to bookmark it or to register and visit often.

Firstly you need quality content and secondly u need a professional look and feel to your site.

Then try some direct marketing like participating on forums and having your website link in your signature, or comment on blogs and have your link in your name. These methods can get a little hard and boring but if you do them on sites that have a simmilar subject as your site then you will get some members not just visits.

For large traffic try to optimize your web page for google or yahoo and try to increase your page rank. There are a lot of tutorials for SEO (search engine optimization) and about how to increase your page rank on the net just search for them. Also try to see what people ar searching for on google and optimize your site for that words or phrases, of course they have to be related with your content.

Banner exchange is good thing to get more traffic. But you must decide with which site to do banner exchange. That site need to be Traffic well oriented not too much like facebook.com or myspace.com but that depend of the type your site.

It's not easy getting visitors.Recently I wrote an article,that has back links
to my pages,and submitted it to article directory sites.
On a positive note,I saw that one site copied the article and
added it to they're site.
That's the goal with this article writing,to have many article sites
copy your article so that it's links to your sites are all over the internet.
This is supposed to increase page rank.
I'll have to write and submit more articles.Hopefully it works.
