This post is for FPS/TPS games ONLY.

Alrighty now, that is my first post so be gentle on me.

Firstable let me introduce myself: I've played loads of loads of games, and I can consider myself as a gamer, and I study in a school of "gamers", by that I mean that most of them are just geeks that play MMORPG's like WOW and stuff... the other part are athletes that play NFL Madden but most of the school is built of people who actually play in great games that came out not so recently ago, like Crysis, F.E.A.R (Which is kind of old now) and The Orange Box (Not talking about Counter-Strike here lads).

Now, from what I have seen, no one actually plays the same games, everyone are spread throughout the categories of gaming.
Last time my friends were doing a LAN party at one's house, no one wanted to play the same game. Obviously in the end everyone agreed on Warcraft III or Counter-Strike from personal reasons but I've noticed this is an issue (Mainly because I don't like counter-strike [Nah running and shooting through walls and killing someone doesn't excite me] nor do I like warcraft too much [I actually do, but playing the same game for 4 hours is frustrating for everyone]).

And using that issue I found a game, a great game called Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorrow. That was the first game I saw that uses Co-Op technology.

For those of us who don't know what co-op is:
Co-Op is eventually a multiplayer mod, that lets you play on missions with friends vs. bots (Yes, yes... There bots in condition zero I agree, but their AI - seriously?!).
As you play through the missions you feel the tactical aspect instead of just shooting around and hoping to kill something, because if you'll do that in co-op games you usually die very fast, and not just you, but your friend too (from my experience you don't want to lose 15 games in a row by doing that, your friend would probably laugh at you at first but then he'll become more and more pissed - and as soon as you get into his nerves you get screams all over your headphones/speakers or a beat-up at school.)

Now the purpose of this post is for gamers like me (Who like CO-OP games) to find MORE games.

Here I'll give you a list of games I've played with CO-OP options and I hereby ask you to add some to the list through the comments smile.gif

The List:

Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (Single Player, Multi-Player and CO-OP)
Notes: First game I've played with co-op options - don't expect too much though.
GameSpot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/pandorat...=result;title;0
Stealth-Based Game.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (Single Player, Multi-Player and obviously CO-OP)
Notes: Sequel to Pandora Tomorrow.
GameSpot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/splinter...ag=tabs;reviews
Stealth-Based Game.

Splinter Cell Double Agent (Single Player, Multi-Player and obviously CO-OP)
Notes: Sequel to Chaos Theory
Gamespot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/splinter...ag=tabs;reviews
Stealth-Based Game.

Halo 2 (Single Player, Multi-Player and CO-OP)
Notes: Sequel to Halo 1, converted into PC from the Xbox with tons of options.
Gamespot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/halo2/re...ag=tabs;reviews
Shooting all around Game.

Conflict: Denied Ops (Single Player, Multi-Player and CO-OP)
Notes: Haven't played it much but I remember it being boring.
Gamespot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/crossfir...ag=tabs;reviews
Shooting with some tactics.

Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six: Vegas (Single Player, Multi-Player and CO-OP)
Notes: One of the best games for co-op because of its gameplay, graphics EVERYTHING.
Gamespot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/rainbows...ag=tabs;reviews
TACTICS OR SHOOTING - NOT TOGETHER.

Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (Single Player, Multi-Player and CO-OP)
Notes: the best game for co-op because of its gameplay, graphics EVERYTHING not to mention its the sequel of the other Rainbow Six Vegas.
Gamespot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/rainbows...ag=tabs;reviews
TACTICS OR SHOOTING - NOT TOGETHER.

Gears Of War (Single Player, Multi-Player and CO-OP)
Notes: A lot of bugs, I didn't actually get to play it because of its million bugs you have a chance of 66.67% to actually run it and not because of it's "High" Graphics.
Gamespot Link: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/gearsofw...ag=tabs;reviews

Now please, if you have more games, post them on the comments.
I hope it helps.

Battlefield 1942 (Single Player, Conquest (Multi-player), Co-Op(bot play), Capture the Flag (Multi-player), Objective (Multi-player))
Notes: A very fun World War II game, however it is kind of old so it's hard to get big battles going on anymore unless you just do it lan. If you do it lan against bots it is fun to find strategies to win in the first couple minutes biggrin.gif

Swat 4 (fun!), Quake 3 (teamplay co-op against bots), Joint Operations, Serious Sam 2

I love FPS online games. My son and I really like Combat Arms by NEXON. I don't think it is really considered a co-op, but if you team up with some other players on the same team it can be real fun. We cover each other to get the advantage on the other team and try to keep them pinned down. My nine year old is so dang good at it. I'm just an old man newb. And probably always will be. But that dosn't stop me from enjoyiny the crud out of it. I get so excited some times I can't even manipulate the controls.

Frankly, your post is abit off from what is intended. Though you did clarify that the game stated isnt considered a co-op but Combat Arms is nowhere close to any game listed earlier. Try comparing Combat Arms or Crossfire or any other online FPS with Call of Duty, Rainbow Six etc.. it have a story to follow with the assist of other players or NPCs that create an exchange of gunfire more epic.

Games like Counter Strike is nothing but a quick fix to instant action FPS and that brings the standard of most online shooting games today while having the new generation players confused with multiplaying and co-op. Just trying to clarify things.

About Gear of War : it's a great game and the bugs maybe there wore some bugs at first but with the patches.. i don't' know i did not encounter any bus and i'm at act 5 which is the last one. The co-op is also great I'm playing with a friend of mine and it's a blast cause the A.I of the other guyz in your team it's kind of low so with a friend you have a better chance of survival.
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 are kind of the same nothing new in 2 but they are both great games, also fun in co-op .
From the two i recommend gears of war for the game play and rainbow six for the fun you have in co-op. Rainbow six it's more tactical and involves more strategy then gears of war so the help of another player counts more in this title.
