No Name Forums (nnf)

Hey everyone , thank's to trap17 i can now get my Free Shell Forums up. It's currently not "Ultimate" but the slogan is catchy isn't it? Anyhow it's basically a free shell directory / knowledge base . I want to run an interesting community fead forum , i don't have many user's if any. If your interested stop by and take a minute of your time to register and bookmark us and leave a post here and there , You may not find much content right now but you can help me fill it and make it a great resource

Ive got one Moderator position open on my forums , if anyone is interested i need someone that is mature ofcourse and possibly have a good knowledge of shells/ unix , i cannot pay for this positive and my forum is basically empty but im hoping this certain person can help me fill it with more content then i currently have in it and help me promote it a bit. Hello there. I know a thing or two about moderating forums, i have held upper positions on other peoples sites and have been quite successful. I would be able to monitor the forum almost all the time. All i ask in return is some sort of link back to my page www.2dfy.be . i know my share of shells, php, html, xml, and its easy to generically moderate a forum post. The forum itself looks great, alot of good topics that will probably return success. If you would like me to watch over and remove the spam, unrelevence, and any other material that shouldnt be there id be glad to, its up to you though. ive already signed up on your forum and have checked it out a bit and shall make a few posts in a minute. i must admit, the topics are very good and well described. whether i become mod or not, ill still be a member because of the forums content. good job. hm ok so the first thig that fell in mind to me when going to the site is the splash screen. i would add a subtle ENTER HERE in the middle of the logo. like maybe a dark blue adn 20 - 30 procent opacity.

The Next thing that i would suggest doing is maybe change the vBulletin logo to your own. try to get something in the same stlye ony that it would say No Name Forums or something where it says vBulletin right now at the top.

Well yea i changed the style a little and as for the intro page , it's only common sence to click the banner . The mod position is filled but i would much like you all to stay active , im sure i will ned another moderate as soon as i get atleast 100 or more active users

I like how simple and clean your forum is, but I would add more to the skin. It looks a lot like the default vB skin.

It is the default vbulletin skin only i alterd it a bit to not be fully expanded and removed the default logo and added a banner.

so you are have your own dedicaded server and give awey free shells right ?
and how are you going to make mony ? by ads or someting...

I always have problems working with shells.. I've once got an IRC BNC/shell that is suppose to hide my IP address, but it didn't. Did your shells come with step by step guide or something... ?

I think it it is a great forum - going to be. Yet to start a good number of sub-sections but its a good start, anyway. Do invite friends and in other forums as well. A good idea is to add your site as signature in other forums which allow the use of signature. Also try to post your site in various software, programs or scripts you share. These shares can be through direct download sites or through torrent files. The choice is yours ofcourse. There are other programs as traffic sharing, be careful as some may direct p*rn content and sites share as well, careful.
So just request may not work as desired, also there will be people who join sympathetically but will never return. Try to mail a digest every fortnight or every month as a remider. Also ask if they would like to unsubscribe - this is a polite jesture. Also send posts / mails very sellectively .

Now after some time when you have enough posts and threads, post your site in google - submit it.
