I don't like Forumer.
Because they made strict rule for uploading pictures.

But, I don't know whether the other forum hostings can upload pictures or not???

eesh, this is hard. originally, I looked into remote forum hosting, but then after I signed up at a couple places, there was a lot of things I didn't like--either downtimes, restrictions, ads, etc...it also didn't feel safe as the site could go downunder without notice.

After struggling with this myself, setting one up isn't really as hard as you think. Usually patience & the readme/installation guide is all you need...& if something goes wrong, head into the support forum.

I prefer setting up a forum in my own account...
installing phpbb and ipb is very easy with hosts like trap17 coz they are pre-installed, you don't have to do almost anything...and you must make the categorys and threads everywhere...
in your own forum you can add styes and languages and mod or whatever you want...you can edit everything, but those forum hostings give you only some things you can edit...
and they put adds on your site...

Also, I make on my hosting one little forum, it is nicely, and his name is phpwebsite, I use scriptes in my control panel. Everything is so good, but one thing is big problem to me: on my adress (subdomain name) i have only control panel. I offer to start my first page, but I don't know how? So I have only forum, Is that enough? And where is my first page? Does anybody knows?

most of the time the success of the forum depends on what kind of community you are going to create. there are plento of fora coming out now, and most of them has gone to nothing because they have a very small number of members.

One of the best ways to attrack members is adding mods. just like T17's Army System, it keeps us to return here not just because we are required but because we enjoy playing the army system. that's why I added an RPG at my forum.
