but i do not have it on my homepage because i have noting on my homepage. but id do have it on my subdomain is that alright.

i would suppose your placement of it on your subdomain would be OK, but you
have to clarify this with admin. PM admin, just to be sure.

if you have just "nothing" in your homepage, maybe you could use it to
redirect to trap17 instead.

uhmmmm you mean the advertisement for our site ? try to look at my homepage http://www.iskul.trap17.com I used php nuke.. so its easy to put a footer on the page .. BTW. you have your homepage ? what was it ? your own work page ? or wat ? if it is your own work.. just a copy either one of those tags sent by trap17 on your index.html

Admin said he "doesn't require us to add a banner link to Trap 17, but a text link would be nice," it's just a simple way of helping T17 to continue their service for free.

That was meant for you to help T17 in making the necessary payments for running the web hosting. It (the trap17 web hosting) sure consumes some money and we as the members ought to help T17 as much as we can. Bear in mind that admin said that it is not a must. It is a help you can do voluterily.

but think of it this way you are free to advertise as you see fit anyone and anything on your site except warez and pornography i believe, with that being the case remember if trap17 goes down you go down to.

i feel he asks very little for the out of pocket expense i am sure it takes to run the server for all of us to have a website. I click all 3 links side of the screen top of screen and bottom of screen minimum 2 times a day plus put an ad banner from the main page here and a text link on my site for trap17 i dont want to see them fail. and will do what i can to help.

Actually, that's not a bad idea! While my site is currently under construction I think I will add a 1-minute redirection link back to Trap17. That way my visitors can see that my site is still under construction, getting to see the graphic and read the little bit of info on my main page, and then redirect them to this site... That would work great until my site is fully up and running... I never thought of that until I read this post...

That was very thoughtful of you to have your site redirected to trap17. I wouldnt mind doing that for t17 at any time i decide to re-design my website and removes it from t17 server.
