Directx 9.0c Available For Download!

DirectX 9.0C is finally available for download at Microsoft.com, this is great for Nvidia's new 6800 series.

Usually, it has better compability, it's faster, more reliable, without problems in games (usually) etc etc etc....Even though I got a tnt2 and directx 8 tongue.gif

DirectX 9.0C supports pixel shader 3.0 which the new NV40 chipsets have.

Most newer games need a newer direct x. I'll have a go and report what sort of speed boost i get. I probably wont get much, because i already get around 20fps on Farcry with everything maxed out and aa on full.

I get around 50-80FPS in FarCry with everything maxed out at 1280x1024. And DirectX 9.0C only adds support for SM3.0 in the new NV40 chipsets.
