I think this is very good site:

http://www.challenge.nm.org/ctg/c++/tutorial.shtml
If you are beginner, you should start from this page

You can also read there about Java, HTML...

hi, i sorta had the same problem a couple of months ago.

i own the book c++ for dummies, and i found that really good, it goes through all the basics and then even some extra stuff as well.

as far as free compilers go, DevC++ (www.bloodshed.net is the adress i think) is pretty good. I managed to find an academic version of Visual C++ really cheap though (because i still go to school tongue.gif) and i have found that really useful, it does reasonable web design too!

anyway, good luck everyone, keep up the good work biggrin.gif

I suggest you to download or buy 'The C programming language' by dennis ritchie and brian keminghan.It's the best one!!!

and I have some tutorials for beginners on my website.I didn't go into explaining every detail so don't expect step-by-step howto.

P.S.Also you can download some tutorials about Digital TechnicsL.It will help you understand how computers work better.

I also had a good look around for a tutorial for the same topic, and although i did find alot, i wanted to have something that I could sketch and doodle, so I recommend a book will come in more use than a tutorial onlnie. Mind you, you could save the whole tutorial offline and print it out...save about £20 from gettint a book, even with AMAZONS 50% discount on programming books right now.

the web http://Programmersheaven.com will help you alot.I recommend you to use beginer tutorials just to read in the first time... You must know what is OOP and some algorithms and then you can make programs step by step.

I find books better than tutorials. Sams Teach Yourself C++ in 24 Hours(currently reading) is pretty good and C++ Primer I hear is a good one.
